Our Happy Baby

Brynley's been smiling now voluntarily (it's not just gas anymore!! wahooo!!) for about 2 weeks. It's been quite difficult to get a picture of her smiling because she either stops as soon as I pull the camera out or she's done by the time the camera snaps the shot...so, here's the best ones I was able to get. You can at least get the point!! :)

1 Year Wedding Anniversary!!

One year ago today my hubby and I were saying our nuptials...and today we're changing diapers! How much change occurs over the course of a year sometimes astounds me. Let's see over this past year, which has by far been the fastest of our seven years together, a lot has changed in our lives. We said our "I do's" on 10/9/8, found out we were expecting three whole days before Christmas (what a gift!), went through nine crazy months of pregnancy, thirty-three hours of labor, an unplanned c-section, a terrifying moment of unknowns, and were blessed with the most precious, life-changing gift--our baby girl! So, I just want to take a minute to state how much I love my hubby on this special day for us. He is absolutely wonderful and I love him more today than I did yesterday, the day before, more than I did at this moment last year, and yes, even more than I did seven years ago when we met when I was a whopping seventeen year old junior in high school. We've been through a great deal together and basically watched one another grow up and mature into adults and somehow through all of our growing up and maturing we managed to hold on tightly to one another and grow our love stronger and stronger. I look forward to all the moments that are yet to come and all the memories we have yet to make. You are my everything. I love you, Hubby and will forever.

Bulls WIN the playoffs :)

I know this is OLD news by now but my hubby's baseball team won the playoffs a few weeks ago!! They're all very excited and quite proud of themselves! Way to go, BULLS!!

Paul warming up on the mound. I know it's pretty blurry and dark but hey, at least you can tell it's Paul (well I can!)

Hey batter, batter! Swing! Go 21!!

Starting to feel like ME again...

...it's about frickin' time!! Wahooo!! Yes, of course I still have BABY WEIGHT to lose, but I'm slowly starting to feel like myself again, thank goodness. Hopefully I'll be able to find the motivation and the time necessary to get back to my prepregnancy self (or better!) but I'm not really an "exercise junky"... that's the part that scares me! Ahh!!!
On other news, my incision seems to be healing nicely. The pain has come a long way. It's still not 100% gone, but we're getting there; hopefully within the next week or so. I'm just happy that I have it under control enough to not need that awful pain medication anymore! :)

1 month ALREADY

I cannot believe Brynley is already one month (as of yesterday)...where oh where has the time gone? If this is any indication of how quickly her entire childhood is going to go we're in trouble!

Mommy likes to make sure that it's obvious I'm a GIRL!

I love looking out the skylight in our living room! My Daddy taught me this trick and now I do it all the time!! Gee, thanks Dad!
Passed out after a loonnnggg, hard day of being a baby...whaa!!
